The past comes back to haunt Spike when the Jet finds that one of his former comrades, Mao Yenrai is worth 28 Million. Spike gathers more information from Annie, an old friend. Meanwhile, Faye blindly pursues the target. On the "Bebop," Jet learns it is a trap, Mao Yenrai is dead. Faye is captured by the murderer, a man named Vicious.

EYECATCH

     Spike gathers artillery and suddenly Faye calls the "Bebop" begging for rescue. Spike goes to confront Vicious, and manages to rescue Faye although she is really his last priority. Jet tries to ignore the two of them focusing on his bonsai plants but ultimately fails. After a violent duel, Spike and Vicious are seriously injured. Spike wakes up on the "Bebop" only to meet a grumpy Faye.
