Giraffe, Jet and Spike's next target, is found him in a blues gig where a child prodigy is playing the harmonica. Giraffe seems to be after the man with child, Zebra. Spike follows Giraffe until he finds him crashing out of a hotel window. With his dying breath, he asks Spike to help someone with a deceptive appearance and hands him a strange stone. Jet discovers that Giraffe and Zebra were part of the "Self-Defense Volunteer Squad" a decade ago. The name of the blues-harp player is Wen. After Zebra disappeared from Giraffe ten years ago, the child appeared with Zebra. Spike goes to find the child, but the child shoots him.

EYECATCH

     Wen is actually older than the colonies. A explosion of a hyperspace gate near Earth many years ago caused a mutation in his body which allows it to heal rapidly and prevents it from aging. Spike rescues Zebra but Wen escapes. Reading Zebra's brain waves with the "Alfa Catch," the bounty hunters discover the key to killing Wen is in the gem. Unsure of what the results may be, Spike hunts Wen and fires the gem on a bullet into the his head. Wen begins to age to death in a matter of seconds and feels relieved to finally die.
